Haydale is pleased to announce that it has entered into a technical and commercial partnership with Briggs Automotive Company (“BAC”).  BAC, in conjunction with Haydale, pioneered the use of graphene-enhanced carbon fibre body panels in its highly acclaimed Mono super-car which demonstrated significant weight reduction and improved composite structural performance.

BAC Mono is the world’s only single-seater, road-legal supercar that is designed to offer the most authentic and pure driving experience possible.  BAC continues to push the boundaries and embrace new technology and Haydale hopes to play a fundamental role in helping it achieve its goals.

This partnership will enable BAC to utilise Haydale’s graphene-based technology in further development of the ultra-lightweight Mono supercar and future vehicle advancements.  Future development and testing is envisaged in the wider use of graphene-enhanced body panels and the use of such advanced composites in automotive and motorsport chassis structures.  The use of printed sensors utilising Haydale graphene-based inks should open up a wide range of technical possibilities to further optimise design considerations and improve vehicle performance. The ultimate aim is to enhance driver experience and safety.

BAC is committed to using the latest technological developments in its current and future vehicles and Haydale will work closely with BAC to capitalise on the commercial opportunities that are now becoming a reality.  It is envisaged that this partnership will explore near and medium-term technological advances with a view to near term commercialisation.
